How to Change an Auto-Attendant Menu/Script

Changing The Auto-Attendant Message/Script

From Inside The Office

  1. Dial into the Voice Portal's extension. (By default, this is 999. If this extension doesn't work for you, please contact LunaTech Support.)
  2. Press the star key *.
  3. Enter the Voice Portal's extension (may be called "Mailbox ID") again when prompted.
  4. Enter the Voice Portal's passcode when prompted followed by the # key. (This passcode was provided to your office admin, if you do not have it, please contact LunaTech Support.)
  5. Press 1 to change the Auto-Attendant greeting. (If you have multiple Auto-Attendants, the system will then ask you to enter the Auto-Attendant number that you want to change.  This is the Auto-Attendant's extension.)
  6. Press 1 to change the Business Hours greeting or 2 to change the After Hours greeting.  If you have a Standard rather than a Basic auto-attendant, you will also get the option to press 3 to change the Holiday greeting.
  7. Follow the system prompts from this point forward.

From Outside The Office

  1. Dial your office main line or the desired Auto Attendant's number (if these are not the same or if you have multiple Auto-Attendants.  If you are using UC1 or MobileLink to call-in, you can also dial the Auto Attendant's extension).
  2. While you are listening to the auto-attendant message, dial the Voice Portal's extension. (By default, this is 999. If this extension doesn't work for you, please contact LunaTech Support.)
  3. Enter the Voice Portal's extension (may be called "Mailbox ID") again when prompted followed by the #key.

NOTE:

If there is a DID assigned to your Voice Portal, you can also dial that number directly without having to dial an Auto-Attendant's number first.
